Stage 1: The Chemical Foundation – Rigorous Acid Pickling & Chromating

The secret to a paint job that never peels lies entirely in the prep work. Raw aluminum naturally forms a thin oxide layer that prevents standard paint from sticking. If you paint directly over it, the finish will eventually delaminate.

Before any coating is applied, every welded hull goes through a meticulous chemical pre-treatment process:

Acid Pickling (Deoxidization): The hull is completely cleaned and etched with specialized marine acids to remove all surface impurities, welding soot, and natural oxide layers.

Stage 2: The Armor – AkzoNobel® Marine-Grade Powder Coating

We do not use liquid spray paint. Instead, we invest in Advanced Electrostatic Powder Coating utilizing premium powders from AkzoNobel®—the world’s undisputed leader in marine and aerospace protective coatings.

During this process, dry Interpon/AkzoNobel marine powder is magnetically charged and sprayed onto the grounded aluminum hull. Because of the static electricity, the powder wraps around the hull perfectly, covering every hidden weld, corner, and stringer with a completely uniform, gap-free thickness.

Stage 3: The Cure – High-Temperature Thermal Fusion

Once coated in powder, the entire hull is rolled into a specialized, high-temperature industrial curing oven. Baked at precisely controlled temperatures, the powder particles melt, flow, and chemically cross-link into a continuous, ultra-tough skin.
